Welcome to Leaning Tree Community School.

We are a small independent, non-denominational primary school offering a unique educational choice in Geraldton, Western Australia. We meet the needs of our Kindergarten, Pre-primary and Year 1-6 students with small class sizes and quality educational programs designed and implemented by dedicated, skilled teachers and support staff. Rainbow Playgroup caters for children aged 0-4 and their families.

We guide and empower our students to create happy, healthy and meaningful relationships with their world. Leaning Tree Community School has secured land in Glenfield, Geraldton. After many years of searching for the perfect piece of land on which to build a permanent school, the chosen land meets the school’s needs, with 10 acres providing many opportunities for growth. The School’s Governing Body and school parent groups have been working hard to design and plan for an exciting, sustainable school for the students and school community.

Construction is expected to begin in late 2017 and relocation is anticipated in 2018. Education Manager, Lara Sampson is looking forward to the opportunities the new premises will provide, “the scope for creative and nature based projects to complement the rigorous academic program is very exciting.”

The school will continue to operate from the St Patrick’s College buildings on Bayly St Geraldton until the new premises is open for Playgroup, Kindergarten to Year 6 in 2018. The school is currently examining the feasibility of opening a middle school for Year 7-9 at the new site. Contact the school to express your interest in the Middle School.
